The first higher education center in Gilan started working in 1344 with the opening of the Higher School of Nursing. The Higher School of Nursing was established in 1355. Gilan University of Medical Sciences also started working in 1362 as a medical school under the cover of Gilan University and in 1365<\/span> with the establishment of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, it separated from Gilan University and continued its activities as a university independently.<\/p>\r\n

Today, the state of higher education in Gilan province<\/a> cannot be compared to before the revolution. <\/span>Looking at the comparative performance of medical science education before and after the Islamic revolution, the results can be obtained that in 1357, in a nursing school, 556 students were studying in the fields of nursing and nursing, but now there are 5735 students in 8 The faculty, which includes medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, paramedicine, etc., are studying in the fields of medicine, nursing, and paramedicine at different levels of study at Gilan University of Medical Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Currently, 4805 students and 453 professors are working in this center. Based on the analysis, this center has published 1729 scientific articles in domestic journals and conferences. Gilan University of Medical Sciences and Health Care Services is the owner and publisher of 5 magazines. It is specialized and so far 7 conferences have been held by Gilan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services. In addition, 4061 internationally recognized articles have been extracted from this center. In 1402, the researchers of Gilan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services published most of their articles with the keywords “EQUIPMENT” and “MEDICAL EMERGENCY”.<\/p>\r\n

Based on the ranking of Islamic world universities, Tehran<\/a>, Tarbit Modares<\/a>, Shiraz<\/a>, Ferdowsi, Mashhad<\/a>, Shahid Beheshti,<\/a> Tabriz<\/a>, Isfahan<\/a>, Payam Noor, Shahid Bahonar, Kerman<\/a> and Gilan University<\/a> were ranked first to tenth.<\/p>\r\n

In the latest Times 2024 subject ranking; Gilan University was ranked among the top universities in the world in three fields: “Engineering and Technology, Science and Life Sciences”.<\/p>\r\n

According to the report of the vice president of research and technology; In this ranking, Gilan University was ranked 601-800 in the fields of engineering and technology, basic sciences ranked 801-1000, and biological sciences ranked 801-1000.<\/p>\r\n
