Qom University (University of Qom) is one of Iran’s public universities and is located on a 140-hectare campus in the southwest of Qom<\/a> City and Al-Ghadir highway after Quds settlement.<\/p>\r\n

<\/span>Introduction<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

In 1364, with the approval of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, in addition to the students of the theological fields, the graduates of the secondary courses of the old system were also accepted through the national entrance exam. In continuation of the educational activities in 1367, through a decree, the teacher training center of Qom University started working to train competent and efficient professors to teach Islamic studies in universities.<\/p>\r\n

On 31\/03\/1376, with the approval of the Council for the Development of Higher Education, the higher educational and judicial school for students changed its status to “Qom University” and this complex has 6 courses at the undergraduate level, 5 courses at the master’s level and one course at the specialized doctorate level. It continued its activity and the new statute of Qom University was finally approved in the meeting dated 25\/10\/1378 of the Higher Education Development Council after that Qom University continued its activities within the framework of the regulations of the Ministry of Science.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Presently, there are 8000 students and 245 professors active in this center. Based on analysis, the center has published 8132 scientific articles in domestic journals and conferences. The conference was organized by Qom University. In addition, 326 internationally valid articles have been extracted from this center. In 1402, Qom University researchers published most of their articles with the keywords “international law” and “human rights”.<\/p>\r\n

<\/span>\"StudyingUniversity Rank<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

This year, for the first time, Qom University participated in the Times ranking system<\/a>, which is based in England, and was ranked, which is considered an important achievement in the university’s scientific progress. 2004 has evaluated and ranked higher education centers.<\/p>\r\n

This ranking is based on 13 indicators as described in the following table in the form of five general criteria of education with a weight of 30%, research with a weight of 30%, citations with a weight of 30%, international image with a weight of 7.5% and connection with the industry with a weight of 2. 5% interest. In this regard, Qom University was ranked from 1,200 to 1,500 among the universities and scientific institutions of the world that participated in this ranking system in various evaluation sections.<\/p>\r\n
