It is one of the oldest specialized universities in the field of agriculture, located in northern Iran, Golestan province.<\/p>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Introduction_to_Gorgan_University_of_Agricultural_Sciences_and_Natural_Resources\"><\/span>Introduction to Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (established in 1957) is the first higher education institution in agricultural and natural resources sciences, holding the top rank in the country in both agriculture and natural sciences. The university focuses on practical and scientific fields, education, research, and training of specialists in agriculture and natural resources.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Presently, the university has 4,000 students (38% are graduate students), 170 professors, and 187 faculty members. According to conducted research, this institution has published 10,150 scientific articles in domestic journals and conferences [3,767 journal articles and 6,383 conference papers] and 2,497 recognized international articles. It is also the owner and publisher of 13 specialized journals. It has 4 active specialized laboratories for educational and research purposes.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Faculty of Plant Production:<\/strong><br>\r\nThe Faculty of Plant Production operates with 4 educational departments: Agronomy, Plant Breeding and Biotechnology, Plant Protection, and Horticultural Sciences and Landscape Engineering, with 38 faculty members.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Faculty of Agricultural Management:<\/strong><br>\r\nThis faculty consists of two departments: Agricultural Economics, and Agricultural Extension &amp; Education.
